Description:
Niceta stands at 5'9" even. She has short copper hair and dark blue eyes. She keeps her hair cut to the bottom of her earlobes. She has muscle from Wherling Training and when she had been a Candidate. She is a bit on the slender side from moving around a lot and having a fast metabolism.
She has an olive complexion that makes her tan really nicely. Though her skin is already nicely tanned, with a soft coppery glow to her skin. If she is out in the sun too long she does get sunburn and her skin begins to peel. She is mostly seen in a tunic and pants. Niceta doesn't usually dress up unless it is for a Gather or Hatching or some other special occasion.
Personality:
Niceta is passionate about her position. She had to fight for it and it shows in her attitude toward those who might look down at her. A woman Holder, especially one who is unmarried and has never been has a tough lot.
She has an abundance of energy and it is expressed in her voice. She has a habit of speaking a little faster than normal when she’s really excited about something. Niceta is incredibly patient, her anger is a long simmer. When she is angry, she is dangerously calm, her voice level. It is her eyes that give her away.
Niceta thinks highly of Vanech and his ideas for the Whers, she is excited about the Breeding Program and continues to encourage those who are interested in Whers. Niceta has taken it upon herself to teach the newly Impressed Wher Handlers. It keeps them in a safe environment and Rivers Crossing has an excellent set up for them. More importantly, they are away from the mounting turmoil of politics that is Kajano Hold.
History:
Niceta is an only child of Ceton and Nichelle. Her father was a traditionalist and had she a brother, he would have chosen the boy to lead the Hold. Yet there were to be no more children for her mother fell ill shortly after Niceta learned how to walk. Though she recovered, the Healer told her there would be no more children, her insides were ruined. That left Niceta. So her father raised her as though she was his son. If she did not inherit the Hold, it would go to a distant cousin that Ceton did not trust.
Ceton had friends in the Erdan Island Chain and during a Mid-Summer Gather, he took his daughter to the archipelago. She saw the Weyr, but more importantly she saw the Holds, and the Mines. During their tour of Dark Mine, a wall collapsed and separated Ceton and Niceta. Ceton wound up trapped inside the Mine as were the others on the tour, leaving Niceta and the Wher Handler on duty on the outside. The Handler was badly injured, unconscious, and yet somehow Niceta convinced the Wher to obey her so the Wher helped in the rescue efforts.
Because of the courage she showed and the fact that the Wher had listened to her, Star Sight's Holder decided that Niceta should be honored with the chance to gain a Wher egg if she desired. Never Searched, Niceta never thought about Impressing a dragon and scarcely believed her luck to be offered the chance to Impress a Wher. So she went to the queen's clutch and not only did the queen allow her to take an egg, but rolled the bright golden egg that represented her future daughter toward Niceta.
Niceta took pains to ensure the egg was well cared for, her heart fluttering every time she looked upon the shell. Though there was no doubt what was to come from it, she still had to ensure the queen within would look to her. If the gold refused her, she'd likely go wild and they'd be forced to kill her before she became a menace. This was a rare opportunity, Niceta did not want to destroy it. When the egg finally hatched, Niceta was there with her knife, cutting herself and presenting her wrist. The blood enticed the gold enough to lap at the holder's wrist and when Niceta next looked into the hatchling's eyes, she knew her Nicesk would stay with her.
During a Summer Gather, Niceta met Vanech and they became close friends. They talked about Whers, and Niceta imparted the knowledge she had learned about Whers at the Erdan Chain. Vanech explained how the Whers could be useful in the Holds and the Weyr as guards and in other positions yet there were very few on the Western Continent. Niceta and Vanech brainstormed and the Wher Program came into being. Nicesk's first clutch was an average size of seven eggs and hatched healthy Whers. Niceta began the teaching of the new Wher Handlers.
Though she was leading the Hold at her father's side from seven Turns ago it wasn't until five Turns ago that she officially became the Holder when her father lost his sight.
Upon hearing about the trouble that was brewing from Vanech, Niceta ensured her tithes were laden more heavily than they should have been. She ensured that it would not put strain on Rivers' Crossing supplies. Fortunately the trader ships are scheduled to arrive soon, and Niceta intends to do a little politicking of her own. She controls the rivers that lead to Kajano Hold after all....

Father- Lord Ceton, 58, retired. Lost his sight to firehead five Turns ago.
Mother- Lady Nichelle, 43, deceased. Died of unknown causes seven Turns ago.

Description:
Nicesk is by far one of the largest gold Whers. Nicesk's hide is a pale golden shimmer. Her tail is unusually long and her wings are more developed than most Whers; however she still does not have enough lift to fly. Her legs are a bit long as well but allow for her to gain incredibly quick on her prey or any attacker. She is quite graceful.
Personality:
Nicesk is calm and aloof. It doesn’t seem like anything bothers her in the least. She is very in tune with her handler and was easily trained though she occasionally still balks at commands. She is fierce as any mother when she has a clutch of eggs and very selective of who gets her eggs. She is quick to react to her handler being in danger or being threatened.
