Appearance: Avalon has straight, jagged, formerly golden-blonde hair. It reaches to the base of her neck then cuts off like the edges of shards of broken glass. Her hair covers her right eye, which she frequently pushes back. Usually she keeps it in a bun or a ponytail since it is too short to be put into a braid. There are sometimes dark streaks through her hair, which has been considerably lightened due to the blazing Pernese sun. Now, her hair is almost white because of the immense amount of time she spends outside.
Avalon's skin is tanned and is a golden-orange shade of color. She stands at a height of about 5' 2, which is small for her age. Her arms are slender and skinny like Avalon herself. They aren't very strong. However, Avalon is an extremely fast and enduring runner. She can continue sprinting for about half an hour straight. Her knees are usually scabbed from climbing or running. There is a scar on her left heel from stepping on a piece of glass. Also, on her right palm, there is a brand that not even she knows what it's for. It is a circle with a six-pointed star in it.
Avalon's face is angular and heart-shaped with high and prominent cheekbones. A hideous scar slices from the right side of her forehead, above her right eye, across her nose, and ends on her left cheek. It is now silvery, but it is still extremely conspicuous. Avalon has full lips that from a perfect double arc. Many people have commented on how pretty Avalon would have been if not for her horrible wound.
History: Avalon is originally from Torene Island. However, she traveled to Great Cliffs Weyr after her 'accident'. Her father had been Lord Holder of Allusion Hold, and there were many wild whers on that island. She was attacked once, which left her with the scar on her face, and that was all her father needed to send her away. She and her father had always had a strained relationship and he had always wanted to be rid of her.Her mother was distraught and begged her father not to send Avalon away. Being the cold man he was, her father abandoned Avalon's mother somewhere near Crashing Seas Weyr. She hasn't been seen since then. Avalon, however, is unaware that her brand is a message from her mother, a way to find her. Avalon was searched at 14
